The staff and Board of the Institute of Public Health in Ireland are deeply saddened by the passing of their colleague Paul McGill.
Paul previously worked with the Centre for Ageing Research and Development in Ireland and prior to that for the Northern Ireland Council for Voluntary Action.
He was a graduate in law from Queen’s University Belfast and spent many years as a journalist covering education, mainly for the Irish Times, Belfast Telegraph, Guardian and the Times Education Supplement.
Paul passed away peacefully at his home in Bunbeg, Donegal on the 27 January following a courageous battle with cancer.
Our deepest sympathy and thoughts are with his wife Linda, children and grandchildren and family circle.
