Applications Invited: Non-Executive Directors on the Board of the Institute of Public Health 

The Institute of Public Health (IPH) is inviting expressions of interest from suitably qualified members of the public to serve on its Board as Non-Executive Directors.

The Institute was set up prior to the signing of the Good Friday / Belfast Agreement in 1998 to provide support on public health policy to the respective Departments of Health and Chief Medical Officers in both jurisdictions. One of the main objectives of the Institute is improving health equity and reducing health inequalities throughout the lifecourse. 

The Institute is governed by a Board of Directors appointed by the Department of Health Ireland and the Department of Health Northern Ireland. Each Department is entitled to appoint up to five members. The maximum number of Directors is ten, including the Chairperson and Deputy Chairperson. With the exception of the position of Chairperson and Deputy Chairperson, Board Directors are not remunerated.
