This newsletter provides updates on recent alcohol research and policy relevant to Ireland and Northern Ireland.

Alcohol Action Ireland and University College Cork (UCC) School of Public Health have published a research paper on the levels of alcohol related death and illness in Ireland, using datasets from the Global Burden of Diseases (GBD). The findings suggest that four people will die every day in Ireland from alcohol related harm and illness.
